The year 8 and 9 curriculum is based on the Australian Curriculum Framework and provides opportunities for all of our year 8 and 9 students to be successful.
All students in Year 8 and Year 9 undertake four subjects for the full year in their home group: English, Humanities, Mathematics and Science.
HPE is also undertaken for a full year, and students can apply to be part of the Sports Academy for this subject.
Students have the opportunity to study 2 further subjects for each of semester 1 and semester 2. These subjects include Digital Technology, STEM, Home Economics, Visual Art and Design, Music (General and Specialist), Drama, Dance and Cultural Discovery. At Year 9 students can also choose from two further subjects: Introduction to Outdoor Education and SAASTA connect.
The Industry Pathways Program begins at Year 9. Students can apply to be a part of this program. For further information please refer to the Industry Pathways link.
