Who Is This Course For?
Students who want to learn about Aboriginal people, their culture and experiences, through direct personal contact and secondary sources such as film. No background knowledge is assumed.
What Will I Learn?
In this course, you will study the following topics
- Cultural expressions
- Diversity and identities
- Contemporary experiences
These topics are designed to allow you to identify Aboriginal achievements while considering the past, present and future cultural survival.
How will I be assessed?
You will demonstrate evidence of your learning through the following assessment types:
School Bassed Assessment:
- Learning Journey (three tasks) 40%
- Colaborative Social Action 30%
External Assessment:
- Acknowledgement of a person or organisation 30%
